The first Women’s Rights Convention was held in Seneca Falls, NY, in July 1848 and is considered the start of the women’s rights movement in America. Its ‘Declaration of Sentiments’, penned by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, was accompanied by numerous resolutions including the controversial rights of women to vote — a right not actualized for another 72 years. Everyone is welcome to the 11:00 service at UUCBG! Childcare is available for ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Sunday School classes are available for grades K-6, and preschool classes for ages 3-6. Teens are encouraged to participate in the 11 a.m. service with the rest of the congregation.
