It’s been said that Non-Violent Communication is a consciousness shifting practice masquerading as communication technique. In this service Alan Leiserson will share how NVC has helped him “be the change I want in the world”.

About the Speaker: Alan is one of those unusual UUs who was raised as a UU, or more accurately a Unitarian. In fact, his father’s mother was a Unitarian. However, in young adulthood, Allan became a Zen Buddhist, practicing with the Zen Center in Rochester, NY. He is now a retired environmental lawyer and a member of First UU of Nashville. He is a long-time member of the FUU worship committee and a past board member. About 18 years ago, he and his wife led a service for the BG Fellowship on meditation.
