Confidentiality The mediation process is confidential unless all involved in the process waive confidentiality. Participants agree not to discuss the situation that brought you to mediation or your request for mediation with anyone other than those directly involved during mediation sessions. If one participant breaks confidentiality, possible consequences include termination of the process and the release from the commitment of confidentiality by all involved.

Preparing for Mediation To help determine if your situation is suitable and ready for mediation consider the following: Steps 1 and 2 need to be taken before you can request mediation. If you would like assistance or support in completing the first two steps you may talk to a mediator.
