We often use ancient patterns of verbal violence so subtle they’re not easily recognized as violent. No wonder many of our conversations with others can so often go awry! Learn how to use Non-Violent Communication in this workshop.
An Introduction to A Language For Life
from 7 to 9 on Friday 31 March (Free!) and a workshop from 9 to 4 on Saturday 1 April
Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also known as Compassionate Communication, provides a simple yet powerful method for communicating, by creating connections and understanding in our conversations. Using NVC can change the quality of your life with your partner and family, your neighbors, your coworkers, and everyone else with whom you interact. It becomes a guide to an extraordinary relationship with ourselves and others.
In this introduction to NVC, participants will explore some of the principles and key distinctions underlying the practices of NVC that accesses our compassionate nature.
You will learn:
- The value of Listening Empathetically so that everyone can be heard.
- How to Express Yourself Honestly with Compassion.
- How a simple Request provides Clarity, Choice, and Compassion.
- Translating hard-to-hear messages into a Needs Based Awareness.
Join us as we set our intention toward creating the kind of world in which we were truly meant to live! In addition to learning, we’ll have a lot of fun too!
